Calling all young musicians! The John Coltrane Jazz Workshop is a premier summer music experience for talented middle and high school students in the High Point area.
Hosted by the High Point Arts Council, this week-long workshop honors the legacy of jazz legend John Coltrane while giving students the opportunity to grow musically in a collaborative and inspiring environment. Participants will work alongside experienced musicians and educators to refine their skills, learn jazz techniques, and develop their performance abilities.
This immersive program is open to students with at least one year of band experience or private lessons and who play instruments such as bass, percussion, guitar/keyboard, brass, or woodwinds.
The workshop concludes with a free live jazz concert, where students showcase what they’ve learned for family, friends, and the community.
