The Greensboro Summer Reading Trail is a free, family-friendly community program designed to make reading fun while exploring local businesses across the city.
Running June 1 – July 31, 2026, families can visit participating locations along the “Reading Trail,” where children can read a book on-site and collect stamps on their Reading Trail Map. It’s a great way to encourage literacy while discovering new places around Greensboro.
Families who visit 12 or more of the 22 stops will be entered into a grand prize drawing, which includes books and passes to the Greensboro Science Center and Carousel. Every child who completes their map will also receive a free book prize.
Prizes will be distributed during a community book fair at Arboro Empowered in early August.
This program is perfect for families looking for a free, flexible summer activity that combines reading, exploration, and fun.
