April is Packed with Family-Friendly STEAM Fun in the Triad

If your kids love to explore, build, experiment—or just get outside—this April is their month. Across Greensboro, Jamestown, and High Point, families can enjoy a lineup of free and low-cost events that blend science, nature, creativity, and hands-on learning.

From storytimes to stargazing nights, robot parades, creek critters, and Earth Day celebrations, there’s something for every age and stage.

April 1

Volcanic Eruptions Hands-On Program (Grades 3–7) | Greensboro, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
 At the Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch Library for an explosive afternoon of learning! Geologist Amy Pitts from the North Carolina Geological Survey teaches kids all about volcanoes through an engaging, hands-on program where participants will explore how volcanoes work—and may even see one erupt.
